Tristan Claridge has over 20 years of experience researching and applying social capital across various contexts. As a geographer and environmental scientist, he is deeply committed to sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Tristan serves as the Director of the Institute for Social Capital, an independent research, consulting, and training organisation. His work is focused on empowering researchers and practitioners to better understand and apply the concept. Driven by his belief in the power of discourse and collaboration, Tristan continues to work towards advancing social capital theory and practice globally.

Jeff Donaldson

Preparedness Labs Incorporated
A veteran, author, and professor specializing in preparedness communications, readiness analytics and community resilience. He lectures in the Disaster and Emergency Management program at Royal Roads University, teaching the operationalization of social capital theory across mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. He serves on the Board of Directors for the International Social Capital Association and local organizations. Jeff is an avid backcountry paddler and host of Canada’s #2 podcast on emergency preparedness, Inside My Canoehead.
